How Swazisat satellites work

How It Works

After payment in typically 1-5 days our team will do a virtual survey and contact you to arrange installation. Our small 74CM satellite dish can be mounted on a roof, wall or via pole mount in the ground. Once connected, your computer sends a request to the modem which passes the request to the satellite through the satellite dish. The satellite receives this signal and sends it to one of the Internet gateways. The request then goes to the Internet backbone, which retrieves the requested web content from the webserver. The whole cycle is then reversed and the requested data is sent to the end-user. Depending on your location and the corresponding beam, our Ka-band satellite will route your incoming and outgoing traffic to and from the respective gateways.
So, in a nutshell, this Satellite Internet Solution simply works as follows: Your smart device sends a signal request through your modem to your satellite dish and then up to our orbiting satellite, which, in turn, sends a signal to us. We then transmit the signal back to the satellite, to your dish, your modem, and finally, your smart device. All of this happens in less than half of a second!

Process

Our European and African gateways deliver high speed upstream (outgoing) & downstream (incoming) data to and from any connected device with standard speeds ranging from 5 to 150 Mbs.

We provide with each installation a high speed access point preloaded with Express Wi-Fi, enabling you to become your own mini Internet service provider.

Because we don’t have to depend on terrestrial infrastructure, you can enjoy uninterrupted access to the Internet services even when elements like weather, politics and overcrowding disrupt other services.
